Palace renames police camps to honor distinguished officers

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ordered the renaming of 5 Philippine Nationwide Police (PNP) camps and plenty whereas giving three different police properties after notable officers, mentioned the Palace on Wednesday.

In Proclamation No. 429, Marcos ordered the renaming of 5 PNP camps and actual properties.

“It’s becoming to offer honor to former servicemen who’ve proven patriotism, braveness, and dedication in serving the provinces and municipalities to which they’re assigned, and distinguished themselves of their service to the nation, by the use of naming PNP amenities of their honor,” Marcos mentioned within the order.

The 5 newly named and renamed places of work within the proclamation embody:

  • Camp Brigadier Normal Ludovico Padilla Arejola in Pasacao, Camarines Sur
  • Camp Captain Salvador Jaucian Del Rosario Sr., in Bicol
  • Camp Colonel Juan Querubin Miranda (previously the Camarines Sur Police Provincial Workplace)
  • Camp Police Max Jim Ramirez Tria (previously the 504th Maneuver Firm Regional Cellular Pressure Battalion 5)
  • Camp Brigadier Normal Efigenio C. Navarro (previously the Camp Efiganio C Navaro, Police Regional Workplace Mimaropa Headquarters)

Notably, Tria was one of many PNP Particular Motion Pressure officers who died within the Mamasapano conflict in 2014.

In a separate order, Marcos named three PNP properties in Proclamation No. 430 as follows:

  • Camp Normal Paulino T. Santos, Police Regional Workplace 12
  • Camp Non-public Andres P. Dadizon, Police Regional Workplace 8
  • Camp 2LT Carlos Rafael Pax Imperial, Police Regional Workplace 5
