Waterford Whisky’s three distinctive Cuvée Ideas do the trick, signifying a powerful evolution within the southern Irish distiller’s mission to make use of terroir-driven strategies to create naturally flavorsome single malt whiskies with no synthetic colours or chill-filtration.
The Waterford Cuvée “Koff” ($89.99) has notes of white pepper, lemon zest, and a mix of spices, with an extended, dry end of dried fruit and spices. Cuvée Gaia, Waterford’s Natural Cuvée ($89.99), is our favourite, delivering a posh natural whisky with notes of honey, malted Irish barley, and a fruity contact of blackberry. 
The complete-bodied “Cuvée Fumo” ($99.99) is for peated whisky lovers with its peaty aroma, and a gutsy end with cigar tobacco, inexperienced tea, and a touch of tar. All three Cuvée Ideas are bottled at 50% ABV, with attractive labels and packing containers designed by artists together with French painter Nathanaël Ko.
