Gurdeep Sangwan’s price soars 400% as Patna Pirates buy all-rounder for ₹59 lakh


All-rounder Gurdeep Sangwan, acquired by Patna Pirates for ₹59 lakh, sees a 400% increase from his previous auction price.

After spending four years with UP Yoddhas, Gurdeep Sangwan was acquired by Patna Pirates for ₹59 lakh on Friday during the second day of the Pro Kabaddi League 2024 Auction in Mumbai. Previously, Gurdeep was bought by UP Yoddhas for ₹10 lakh. Now, he has seen a 400% increase in the price he was acquired for.

Season debut in 2019

Gurdeep Sangwan made his debut with UP Yoddhas in Season 7, which began in 2019. Initially starting as a defender, he gradually improved, learned, and evolved into an all-rounder. He remained with the franchise for four years.

In the last season, 2023, Gurdeep played a total of 16 matches, with a tackle strike rate of 51% and a raid strike rate of 17%. He earned a total of 30 points for the team. However, the Yoddhas finished 11th, just above the Telugu Titans
