Rohit Sharma apologises, hits the ground in anger after denying Axar Patel a hat-trick


Axar Patel was on a hat-trick chance in his very first over of the spell in the ongoing IND vs BAN Champions Trophy match but Rohit Sharma failed to complete the catch.

Team India’s skipper Rohit Sharma was frustrated with himself as he dropped a sitter on the bowling of Axar Patel, denying him the opportunity to get a hat-trick in the IND vs BAN Champions Trophy match. After dropping the catch, Rohit furiously hit the ground and also apologized to Axar with folded hands. The video of the same has been going viral on the social media platforms. WATCH

Speaking about that eventful over, Axar took the wicket of Tanzid Hasan on his second ball of the spell with wicket-keeper KL Rahul taking a very good catch behind the wickets. Axar did not stopped there as he scalped another wicket on his next delivery dismissing Mushfiqur Rahim with Rahul taking another smart catch behind the wickets.

With Jaker Ali facing the hat-trick ball, Rohit put two slips for Axar while placing himself on the first slip. However, the Indian skipper dropped a sitter denying Axar his hat-trick.
