Trump Administration Officials ‘Accidentally’ Leaked War Plans to Atlantic Editor

Jeffrey Goldberg, editor in chief of The Atlantic, published a bombshell story on Monday documenting his accidental inclusion in a high-level group chat with senior officials in President Donald Trump‘s administration discussing a military strike operation in Yemen.

Goldberg revealed that Vice President J.D. Vance, defense secretary Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and national security advisor Michael Waltz were among the officials on the chat, which was hosted on the Signal messaging app.

The group discussed the Yemen military operations that targeted Houthi rebels earlier in March. According to Goldberg—who was added to the group by Waltz—Hegseth shared details about the targets of the strikes, as well as the weapons that would be used.

The Trump administration has acknowledged the authenticity of Goldberg’s report, but has not explained how Goldberg was added to the group chat or why the conversation took place outside of government channels.

TVNewsers have been covering the unfolding developments since Goldberg published his story, and are sharing their thoughts on social media regarding this high-level information breach.

how is this real life?

how are any of these people in charge of their own bedtimes and toys let alone the united states of america?

“The spokesman confirmed the veracity of the signal group, ‘This appears to be an authentic message chain’…”
