Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have finally got their first win of the IPL 2025. The Ajinkya Rahane-led side rode on the brilliance of Quinton de Kock and Varun Chakaravarthy to hand the Rajasthan Royals (RR) a loss. Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal both failed to have an impact for RR. Meanwhile, both the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and the Delhi Capitals (DC) have a good news coming their way. Failure for Sanju Samson

Sanju Samson’s IPL 2025 struggles persist due to injury and poor form. Playing as an impact player, he scored 66 against SRH but at a lower strike rate than Ishan Kishan and Dhruv Jurel. Against KKR, Samson failed again, managing just 13 off 11 before being dismissed by Vaibhav Arora. It wasn’t a smooth innings for Samson, who played a poor shot to get out in RR vs KKR match. KL Rahul boost for DC

KL Rahul is set to make his Delhi Capitals (DC) debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on March 30 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Rahul, who was bought by DC for ₹14 crore, missed the team’s first match due to the birth of his child. He had declined the captaincy role at DC, with Axar Patel taking the reins instead. MS Dhoni’s IPL record breached

Quinton de Kock scored his 24th IPL fifty, equalling MS Dhoni’s record, in KKR’s match against RR. De Kock’s timely 97* helped KKR chase 152. He now ranks joint-second among wicket-keepers with the most IPL fifties, behind KL Rahul (27). De Kock also has two IPL hundreds, unlike Dhoni. The BCCI is planning to prepare top Indian players for the upcoming India vs England Test series by having them play for the “India A” squad against England Lions in two four-day matches in May-June. Reduce in BCCI’s income?

The World Cricketers’ Association (WCA) is pushing for changes to the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) economic model. The WCA, which represents over 600 international players from top nations, wants the ICC to reduce the BCCI’s revenue share from 38.5% to 10%. They also propose a promotion and relegation system in all formats, optimizing the cricket calendar, and increasing ICC revenue by $600 million annually.
