Grammy Award-winning singer Jessie J revealed that she has been diagnosed with early breast cancer and might have to “disappear for a bit” as she prepares to undergo surgery.
Jessie J took to Instagram on Tuesday, June 3 (U.S. time), to share that she has been “in and out of tests” after her diagnosis came around the time her song “No Secret” was released in April.
“I want to share it with my fans and the people that care about me, and also I’m a sharer. I’ve always shared everything that I go through in my life. Before ‘No Secrets’ came out, I was diagnosed with early breast cancer,” she said.
“I’m highlighting the word early. Cancer sucks in any form, but I’m holding on to the word early,” the singer noted. “I have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period.”
The “Domino” singer explained that she wanted to be open about her condition because she hasn’t talked about it enough, and it “pains” her that other people are enduring the worst of the illness.

“I’m not processing it because I’m working so hard. I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support, and also their own stories. I’m an open book. It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much. Similar and worse,” she explained.
Jessie J then joked that it was a “dramatic way to get a boob job” as she shared her plans to undergo surgery, saying, “I am going to disappear for a bit after Summertime Ball to have my surgery, and I will come back with massive tits and more music.”
In 2023, the 37-year-old singer welcomed her first child after having previously suffered a miscarriage. Early last year, she revealed that she has been diagnosed with obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD) and (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Aside from her songs “Price Tag” and “Domino,” Jessie J rose to fame for her hits “Bang Bang,” “Flashlight,” and “Living My Best Life,” among others. /edv
